Shahpura Bagh: A Living Legacy
More than just a heritage hotel, Shahpura Bagh is a preserved piece of Indian history. Built in the late 1800s, its Rajput-European architecture and original features—chandeliers, gothic windows, and arched arcades—offer a rare glimpse into the past. A must-visit for architecture enthusiasts, this tranquil estate is a timeless retreat.
Our Founders
Established in 1630 by the younger brother of the Maharaja of Udaipur, Shahpura has been home to 18 generations of custodians. After acceding to India in 1947, the family restored Shahpura Bagh, launching it in 2006 as a 45-acre retreat surrounded by lakes. Today, it is owned and managed by Rajadhiraj Jai Singh, Ranisahiba Mandvi Singh, their daughters Tamiksha and Darshini Singh, along with Thakur Shatrujeet Singhji, Thakurani Maya Singh, and their daughter Trisha Singh.
Our Mission and Values
Shahpura Bagh is a boutique experiential retreat, blending heritage with sustainability. With just nine suites on a vast garden estate, we focus on restoration, community outreach, and responsible tourism. Set amid centuries-old trees and two serene lakes, we offer a truly immersive escape in Rajasthan.
